Chromadek signage built for outdoor life

Chromadek is a colour-coated steel sheet, widely used for roofing and cladding in South Africa. Cut to size and printed with vinyl graphics, it becomes a rigid, weather-resistant sign board. Because it is steel, it holds its shape in wind, resists casual damage and can be bolted to poles, walls or fences.

Typical uses are estate entrance boards, construction site signs, factory and warehouse notices, farm and property boundary signs, parking and directional signs, and hoarding. Boards are cut to your required size and can be supplied with drilled holes, folded edges or brackets, depending on how they will be mounted.

• Graphics: printed and cut vinyl applied to the face, with laminate for outdoor protection where suited.
• Board colour: the sheet colour can form part of the design; confirm available colours on quote.
• Fixing: pre-drilled holes for bolts or pop rivets, or a frame that can be fixed to posts.
• Size: from small notices to large boards; very large signs may need a frame and a sectional layout.

A good outdoor sign is simple and legible from the distance a driver or walker needs. Use large text, strong contrast and as few words as possible.

• Send vector artwork (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF or CDR), or ask us to set up text and logos.
• Mention if your sign must follow a company or site standard.
• Leave a margin so drilled holes do not cut into text.

Sheet cutting, printing and finishing are done in stages, so timing depends on capacity, material stock, size, approved artwork, payment and a confirmed deadline. Fast turnaround may be possible for simple boards and is confirmed on the quote.

If you need installation, ask for it to be quoted and give us the height, wall or post type and access. Signs on poles or high walls may need specialist fixing.
