Booklets
Same-day booklets for programmes, manuals and proposals
Same-day booklets turn loose pages into something that looks finished. We produce event programmes, order-of-service booklets, training manuals, price books and proposals, and we plan the page count and binding with you so the job holds together on deadline.

What booklets are used for
Typical booklet jobs include conference and wedding programmes, funeral order-of-service booklets, school and church events, staff handbooks, training manuals, tender or proposal documents and product catalogues. If you need something shorter, a folded brochure may be enough; for single-page copies use document printing.
Page counts and binding
Saddle-stitched (stapled) booklets need page counts in multiples of four, and work well for programmes and shorter documents. Thicker documents usually need a different binding, which we can quote. Page size is typically A5 or A4, with a cover on the same or heavier paper than the inside pages. Tell us your page count early, because adding a page late can change the layout and the price.
Preparing booklet artwork
Send a single PDF with pages in reading order, at final size with 3 mm bleed on full-colour pages. Keep text clear of the fold and trim edges, and set page numbers consistently. If you supply a Word file, expect adjustments before it is print-ready; we can set it up for you, with design time quoted separately. If the layout needs rebuilding, see artwork rescue and design.
Same-day booklet production and turnaround
Booklets involve printing, collating, folding and binding, so they take longer than single sheets. Any quick turnaround is subject to capacity, job size, approved artwork, payment and a confirmed deadline. The most important thing you can do is lock your content: late text changes are the usual cause of missed booklet deadlines. Ask us for the realistic timing before you finalise.

Frequently asked questions
Why must stapled booklets be multiples of four?
Sheets are folded in half, so each sheet gives four pages. Blank pages can be used to fill the count.
Can I get booklets the same day?
Sometimes, for shorter booklets with final artwork, subject to capacity and a confirmed deadline.
Can you design the booklet?
Yes. Layout and design are available and quoted separately.
Can I send a Word file?
You can, but a print-ready PDF is much safer for layout accuracy.
Do you do thicker books?
Other binding types can be quoted on request.
